My journey into law has been full of challenges and at times, I felt like giving up breaking into the UK commercial law world but I am glad I didn’t because I am finally given the opportunity to do a vacation scheme at a US firm and also secured a training contract at one of the Magic Circle firms.
When I first joined STRIVE, I was really impressed by the support provided by mentors as well as fellow associates in the same cohort. I genuinely appreciate the application review and all of the workshops because they are all really helpful. She helped me in preparing for written exercises and interviews. Although I didn’t make it for that specific application, I have to say that the sessions with her really helped build up my confidence. She is my mentor again in my second cycle of application. I believe she noticed that I was running out of confidence so she continuously encouraged me to not lose hope. For that I am really grateful. The biggest positive impact I had from STRIVE is clearly the retrieval of my confidence.
